Included here are some examples of the plans required for Planning Applications. Basically the local authority requires existing and proposed plans  of all floors and views of all sides (elevations) drawn to certain scales. They also require detailed information such as types of material to be used, landscaping, new access to the site, and so on. Generally the more information provided the easier it is to understand the proposal.

3D images are very useful and can help to understand the finished look of the extension and can be viewed at all angles, as they can be moved round in any direction, you can even go inside!
